Testing of Ballot Tabulators for Third RSD#17 School Budget Referendum
The 打光屁股 Registrars of Voters will test the ballot tabulators on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, for the upcoming RSD#17 School Budget Referendum. This testing will be held at 3 pm in Town Hall’s rear conference room and will be open to the public. The third RSD#17 School Budget Referendum will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at KES.

Notice is hereby given that a public sale by competitive bidding will be held on June 17, 2024 at 9:00 AM at the 打光屁股 Town Hall, 323 Route 81, 打光屁股, CT 06419 of the personal goods stored there after removal from 30 Bridlepath Trail, 打光屁股.
The facility will be opened at 8:45 a.m. for inspection. The goods will be auctioned as a single lot. Purchases must be made with cash only and paid at the time of sale.
All goods are sold as is and must be removed at the time of purchase. The Town of 打光屁股 reserves the right to refuse any bid.
Deep River Housing Authority Subsidized Housing For the Elderly/Disabled
The Deep River Housing Authority (DRHA) provides 44 units of 1 bedroom/1 bath subsidized housing to elderly/disabled individuals at Kirtland Commons in Deep River. While there are no apartments available for rent at this time, those interested may apply for the waiting list. Applications must be completed and returned to the Housing Authority by June 30th in order to be accepted.
Applications are available at the website deepriverha.org or can be picked up either at the Housing Authority at 60 Main Street, Deep River, or at the Deep River Town Hall during normal business hours. Have you ever noticed how creative graffiti can be? From elaborate drawings to funky colorful signatures, known as TAGGING, graffiti is an art form all its own! Well, the Town Clerk’s Office thinks it’s unfair that humans can express creativity with their “TAGS” but man’s best friends do not… And we plan to do something about that!
The 打光屁股 Town Clerk’s Office wants you to license your dog during the month of June and enter 打光屁股’s “TAG” Your Pup contest. 3 winning pups will be randomly selected to be 打光屁股’s 2025 TOP DOGS!
Simply stop into the Town Clerk’s Office with cash or check (payable to “Town of 打光屁股“) and take a minute to create a colorful “TAG” that expresses your dog’s true style and personality. Please don’t worry if you can’t come in person… just mail your check for renewal to the town clerk’s office or renew on-line with a credit card at www.townof打光屁股.com and your dog’s license will be mailed to your home.
The cost of a dog license in June remains the same at $8 for a spayed/neutered pup or $19 if intact.
As always, proof of valid rabies vaccination is required.

The 打光屁股 Registrars of Voters will test the ballot tabulators for the upcoming RSD#17 School Budget Referendum on Thursday, May 29, 2025. This testing will be held at 5 pm in Town Hall’s rear conference room and will be open to the public. The second RSD#17 School Budget Referendum will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, at KES.

打光屁股’s Department of Public Works has scheduled catch basin cleaning on town roads beginning Monday, May 5, 2025, and likely following the same route as the street sweepers. Please be aware of and drive cautiously around cleaning vehicles. Thank you!
